Universal Letter Writing Week: My Wonderful World--Spread the Word

Earlier this week, I posted links about writing letters to elected representatives and Letters to the Editor. Today, I provide two links for ways that students can take action using letter writing. I previously posted on the importance of doing geography activities in school. Both of these options are an easy way for students to get involved. While you're at it, visit the MyWonderfulWorld.org website to learn more about the importance of geography education and play some fun geography games.

This page doesn't provide an editable email to send to friends, but you could copy and paste, then edit and send to a friend or relative from your email program.

Notify Your Lawmakers about the need for Geographic Education! Here's an easy way to do a letter or email that has impact. Once you enter in your zip code you will see a list of congressional representatives for your area. My Wonderful World provides a template for your letter, but it is completely editable. Give it a try.
