Universal Letter Writing Week: My Wonderful World--Spread the Word

Earlier this week, I posted links about writing letters to elected representatives and Letters to the Editor. Today, I provide two links for ways that students can take action using letter writing. Univseral Letter Writing Week January 8-14, 2009

Universal Letter Writing Week begins tomorrow. Sometimes writing letters can help students get over the "resistant to writing" hurdle because it has a purpose. Though I grew up writing letters to friends and family (in fact I still have a box of letters from college), we are doing more texting and emailing these days. Perhaps letter writing is evolving. In any case, written communication is still an important way for us to tell our stories and express our interests and concerns. Throughout the week, I'll post links that might be helpful in getting started on that letter writing project.
