Last week I blogged about my intention to have students use comics as part of an assignment. We used ReadWriteThink's Comic Creator as a vehicle for students to share basic information about World Religions. While this part of the assignment was pretty simple, students previously had completed a graphic organizer on five different religions, a bibliography that included at least three resources, and answer some questions about the world religions.
The example is representative of the first time a student has attempted to distill information that traditionally has gone into an essay into a comic form instead.
