From the Web:: Our old friend, Webquest

Years ago I used Webquests in the classroom. I created them. I had students create them. I even taught a class about using Webquests in the social studies classroom. Somewhere along the line they got put on the back burner. Now, there's Zunal, a free Webquest maker.


Zunal allows document uploads and you can export the Webquest as well. Recent improvements allow for embedding YouTube video and embedded quizzes. There are hundreds of Webquests already built at the site (some are unfinished) on a variety of subjects.


Webquests were first developed in 1995 by Bernie Dodge at San Diego State University. The Webquest.org site has extensive background into the theory and practice of using the tool in the classroom. The Creating Webquests page also has links to other Webquest builders.
